Advice on brown mascara please?
Hi guys, I have dark brown hair, brown eyes and olive skin. I have always worn black mascara but recently I’ve been thinking about purchasing brown mascara.
What I’m not sure about is whether brown mascara works with my hair and skin tone, is it better for paler complexions and lighter hair? I’m asking because the brand of mascara I buy is expensive and don’t want to waste money on something that I won’t like
Brown mascara is gorgeous! Do it. I too always wear black, but brown is much better on days when you want to be more natural, classical and even to appear sun-kissed and bronzed. Try it with pinks and neutrals for a very soft look. It won’t make your lashes more obvious as being brown; it’ll just make them look more real. It’ll work for any skin tone, especially yours.
My two favorite mascaras are Dior Iconic and Clinique Long and Pretty.
Google some images of brown mascara, and compare them to the black.
I’ve just been reading some comments here and people seem to believe that brown is more suited to people of cooler skin tones and blue eyes? I don’t know why this is, personally I’d have said black is a cool colour and brown is a warm colour. So black can go with anything, and brown will keep colours soft and warm. It would warm up a cool skin tone with blue eyes, and it would keep a warm skin tone with dark eyes sultry and soft and natural. Lashes aren’t naturally black, they’re brown. Do we look weird with our natural brown lashes? No, we don’t.
