Skin Cleansing – How to Cleanse Skin
Cleansing is the first essential step in your daily skin care routine. The objective of cleansing the skin is to remove all makeup, dead cells, oil and dirt, and to do so without irritating the skin. Choose a cleanser that is gentle yet effective for your skin type.
There are several alternatives to soap and water cleansing. Cleansers can be in the form of creams, milks, lotions , gels and liquids. All are, a mixture of oil, wax and water which have been formulated to suit different skin types.
How to Cleanse Your Face
The best way to cleanse your face is to use warm water and a mild cleanser twice a day, probably in the morning and before you go to bed.
- Wet your face with warm water.
- Take the advised amount of cleanser and gently massage over your entire face.
- Rinse thoroughly with warm water by splashing your face.
Cucumber cleansing cream
- Bees wax – Three teaspoons
- Coconut oil – Four teaspoons
- Olive oil – Five teaspoons
- Cucumber juice – Four tablespoons
- Glycerine – One teaspoon
- Borax – A pinch
- Green colour- One drop
Melt the oils and wax in a pan over boiling water. Simultaneously heat the cucumber juice, glycerine, green colour and borax in a separate bowl. When the oil is melted and warm add water drop by drop and stir continuously. Now remove it from the heat and beat until it gets thick and cool. The cream should be made in a small quantity, as cucumber juice gets bad and it should be kept in the refrigerator.
